My Core Beliefs About People and How We Change:


  1. We all do the best we can with what we have at the time.

  2. Values are our heart’s deepest desires about how we want to live our lives.  Identifying and being guided by these values helps us make decisions and know what direction to take.

  3. Human suffering is a natural and unavoidable part of life. 

  4. When we try to avoid our thoughts and feelings we often act in ways that are harmful to us in the long-run.  (i.e. addictions, overwork, harmful relationships)

  5. We have the ability to choose our attitude in any situation.

  6. We can only control and change ourselves.
